My paintings could best be described as the documentation of all my run-ins as visual outbursts depicting a life’s worth of clashes and epiphanies. Art to me is within us and if embraced, and creativity utilized, it can reside in all aspects of your life. I know it does in mine. I was born and raised in Dorchester, a blue collar culturally diverse neighborhood in Boston. When I found painting, it was like writing visual poems. I draw my inspiration from the city and community I live in, the people I interact with, fight with, fall in love with, and the music I listen too. Hip hop pulses through my loose graffiti style while my love for punk rock gives it a society challenging edge. My paintings are filled with visual question and affirmations, while encouraging my willingness to be myself at all costs.  Painting allows me to express. I believe art resides on the ground floor and in the basements, as close to the earth as possible, always inclusive, always eye level. I hope you can feel something when you look at my work, identify with the content, or make it mean something for you personally.
